So Many Michelangelos

Each year on the foggy shores of the Oregon coast a fanciful faerieworld takes form. Castles populated by dragons and cats and monsters appear. Gods and serpents abound as well as knights and boats and aliens.

These fantastic sculptures are made of sand packed together and kept damp. The detail is amazing. But more amazing still is the sheer number of talented artists on display.

All of us have talents and skills that lie dormant.  We don’t have to wait for the perfect conditions to give form to our dreams.

These literal castles in the sand are beautiful examples of making the most from only the materials at hand.  The fact that these wonderful creations exist for such a short time only adds to their beauty.

So no matter what your resources give form to your dream. The inspiration you provide will long outlast the physical thing itself.
